2012 OOTA Summer Pediatric Workshop - Dayton
IMPACT OT- use it or lose it
--A Pediatric Practice Update
5.5 Contact Hours
So, how do we preserve our professional purpose, integrity and intent? How do we keep sight of our professional mission and remember why we all chose Occupational Therapy as our professional in the first place? Despite all of the external pressures and changes, we must continue to be committed to making a difference in the lives of the students, staff and families we serve.
This 8th annual workshop will continue to provide a forum for OT Practitioners to openly share and discuss day-to-day issues, factors and concerns. You will also hear about some exciting opportunities and new resources becoming at the state and national levels.
All OT pediatric providers, employed or contracted, are encouraged to attend to learn more about regulations, policies and practices, which impact services to children. This is a prime opportunity to network with other OT practitioners in your region to bridge school, home and community service delivery.
The morning session will focus on practice/agency updates
Ohio Department of Education
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
OT Section, OTPTAT Licensure Board
The afternoon sessions will vary at each location and are being planned at this time. Possible topics include:
Transition, OT OTA Q&A panel, technology, constraint therapy, MSP and biochemical integrative medicine.
You will sign up for the afternoon sessions on site, on a first come first serve basis due to facility/room limitations.
