This webinar focuses on strategies to aid paraeducators and other educators in enhancing the social skills of students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. Specific attention will be given to friendship facilitation strategies which can help or hinder friendship opportunities and development in inclusive K-12 classrooms.
Participants will be able to:  Articulate the importance of friendship for students with autism spectrum disorders.  Identify ways in which paraeducators can help or hinder friendships between children with autism spectrum disorders and children without disabilities.  Incorporate strategies into daily routines to facilitate friendships between children with autism spectrum disorders and children without disabilities.
