The Autism Society of Ohio is Moving!
As of August 1, 2010, the Autism Society will be moving to 470 Glenmont Ave., Columbus, Ohio, 43214. Our phone number will remain the same, but our new fax number will be (614) 754-6332. We will be sharing space with with Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) which will provide us greater opportunities for collaboration. We are very excited about our new office! Ohio High Risk Insurance Pool Now Open!
As you may be aware, the new federal health care reform law requires states to set up a temporary health insurance program – or "high risk pool" – for uninsured people with preexisting health conditions. This program will last until 2014, when full federal reforms will take effect. Ohio has designated Medical Mutual of Ohio as the nonprofit entity to administer the high risk pool program for the state.
