The Autism Society of Ohio is looking for volunteers to help us in a variety of areas. We need help with any of the following: general office work, mailings, event planning and staffing, graphic design, mass mailings, display/health fairs and web site maintenance. Read more... Help needed to Evaluate new Resource - An Education Directory to help military families The ESCCO and OCALI are working to develop an Education Directory to help military families with children with special needs when they move to a new assignment. They have asked that we disseminate the Directory to some Ohio parents to ask that they review the directory and provide feedback on its usefulness and accessibility. Read more... New Individual Options Waiver Services (from the DODD E-Newsletter Pipeline) DODD supports opportunities for flexibility and increased independence where possible for those receiving services within the DD system. Heffner Hired as Superintendent of Public Instruction for Ohio The State Board of Education hired Interim Superintendent Stan Heffner as the permanent superintendent Tuesday, hours after deciding to interview him because two of three finalists for the position had dropped out.
