Learn about the importance of your right to vote and how the voting process works by taking LRS' latest tutorial, the Project Vote Online Voter Education Tool Kit. This self-paced online training program, which was tested by a group of people with disabilities prior to being launched, provides the information you need to exercise your right to vote. Input Needed: Living facilities for adults with autism who require more involved care
My name is Daniel Silberstein and I have a teenage brother who is severely autistic. As he is transitioning into adulthood, I have become interested in living facilities that help adults with autism who require more involved care. I will share guardianship with my parents as soon as he turns 18 years old. I am a senior in Gahanna Lincoln High School’s Architecture and Construction Management Program. Gahanna is a suburb near Columbus, Ohio. During the second semester of my senior year, I am given the option to design a building of my choosing. I am going to design a “state of the art” group home in Franklin County that will be home to 10-12 adults with autism. The home’s components will be based on the results of this survey. Read more...
