The Nisonger Center is partnering in an extension of a project last year that asked for the perspectives of parents on the impact on their families of having children with disabilities. The Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council is funding focus groups and an associated study of siblings' perspectives this year. We have been successful in recruiting adult sibs for a focus group on Monday, but we still need quite a few adolescent sibs (12-18) for a focus group on Thursday, February 2, from 7-9 pm.
I have attached information about the focus group, which will take place in the Short North at 1033 North High Street and will be recorded. There is free off-street parking next door.
Participants will receive a $20 Target gift card as a token of our appreciation.
I have also attached a list of questions that will be discussed in case parents and sibs would like an idea of what we will be talking about and want to give it some thought in advance. There will be a videographer recording the discussion. Please contact Patricia Cloppert at the OSU Nisonger Center at (614) 247-6193 orpatricia.cloppert@osumc.edu.
