This survey is part of a doctoral dissertation in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. The survey is designed to obtain information about how your child with Autism reacts to different sounds in everyday situations. The survey is part of the development of the Auditory Behavior Questionnaire (ABQ). Research is being done to develop the ABQ as a tool that can categorize and identify abnormal behavioral responses to sound in children with Autism. We are sending this survey to parents/guardians of children with Autism to obtain more information about auditory difficulties that are commonly reported in children with Autism. Each submission should be completed with one child as your reference. You can complete the survey multiple times if you have more than one child in your family with Autism.
This survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You will not be asked to provide any information that could identify you or your child. Your responses will be confidential and stored in a secure site. This link is uniquely tied to this survey; feel free to forward this message to other parents of children with Autism.
