When Governor Kasich signed the state budget into law the special needs scholarship became a reality in Ohio, and parents of students with special needs now have new options for their children’s education. Any student with special needs who has an Individualized Education Program will have access to the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program when it begins in 2012.

The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (OAAP) will host the Concerned About Development Learning Collaborative (CADLC), a variety of free learning activities funded through grants from the Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
