Latest News from the Mahoning Valley Office
Visiting with Santa Claus each Christmas season is a rite of passage for many children. But for those with autism and others highly sensitive to noise, light and sound the process can be overwhelming. For this reason the Autism Society of the Mahoning Valley has collaborated with the areas two major shopping complexes to offer special holiday photo session designed just for children and young adults with special needs and their families. This private event, before the mall normally offers Santa visits, will be an opportunity to have their photo taken with a trained, caring Santa in an environment set up to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of children with all abilities.
The sessions are as follows:
Special Santa South:
Southern Park Mall concourse - December 8, 2013 7:30-9 am
Special Santa North:
Eastwood Mall concourse - December 15, 2013 9-11 am
The event is free and a variety of professional photo packages will be available for purchase through the standard photo operator.
